THE WORLD OF MR. SATANISM VS.
|
By Frank De Felitta (1973)
Okay, I've been to Oktoberfest and from what I remember (admittedly not much) there were hardly any meat cleaver murders. The guy in this book is doing his best to change that though: see, he hates the krauts because of World War Part 2, so he's going around murdering them, and later he ups the ante by blowing up a building too. Naturally a detective is on the case, but unfortunately this book happens in 1973 when they didn't have FAX machines, the Internet, cell phones, good music, or anything else that didn't completely suck, so he has to travel all over the world to solve the mystery. Along the way he rounds up this obnoxious Jewish twat to help out, but she's such a flaky bitch that the first time she sees the German fuzz at the airport she faints on the spot, even though that's who she's there to meet! Yeah, she's gonna be a real asset. This starts out okay what with the meat cleaver murders and all, but it derails pretty fast and frankly I think the cat who wrote it just got bored after a while because he keeps giving us all these hints that maybe the killer isn't really the killer, but then when it's all over it turns out he is. And what happened to the not-so-kosher plan the Jewish cooze was cooking up to sneak the killer out of the country? I like how he just forgets about that too. It's almost like he wanted to have all these clever twists at the end, but then he overslept or something and got behind schedule so he was like "Fuck it, I better wrap this up or I'm gonna miss Sanford and Son." If you ask me that's a pretty unprofessional attitude, so I don't think people should encourage him by reading his stupid book.
