Incomprehensible Tales Presents:
Scary Tales No. 22: "The Cat"

Usually these whack-ass ghost comics are about some asshole getting their comeuppance, but that doesn't explain this story. Then again, I don't think anything could explain this story. It all starts when this dame like reluctantly agrees to take care of some beatniks' cat (It's name is "Phideau". Fucking beatniks.) in exchange for a dishwasher:

So she hates beatniks and cats. Who doesn't? This broad's only real flaw is that she's kind of a neat freak. Her husband's got no time for that though:

Ha ha! You tell her, Ralph! Anyway, if you've ever owned a cat you know what happens next- the little bastard totally destroys the place:

Finally, our hausfrau heroine has had enough:

Ha ha! Awesome! Fuck cats. Later, the cat turns up dead, which in real life is what we would call "a happy ending". This is a ghost comic though, so you just know that that cat's ghost is gonna come back and get revenge. At least that's what would happen in a comic book that was coherent. This is a Charlton comic though, so God knows what ludicrous, non-sequitur bullshit will go down. Let's find out:

As it turns out, she can't even pick the hairs up with her fingers. They're like ghost cat hairs. That's right, the goddamn cat is messing up her house from beyond the grave. Needless to say, she flips out, and finally she comes up with the worst possible solution:

"Those no-good matches that my no-good husband got from
his no-good job publishing no-good Charlton comics!"

Of course she ends up burning the whole house down, but it's not over yet, because...

So the dishwasher was haunted? Seriously, Charlton Comics, what the fuck? What the fuck???
