It's the end of the world, so the government rounds up our best (if not brightest) and locks them in this huge underground bunker for safe keeping. Now in my opinion they saved way too many scientists and nowhere near enough hotties (I count one, and she's mostly getting by on her top-notch legs), but it's all moot anyway because -are you ready for this? - vampire bats bust into the place and start killing everybody! Seriously, whose ridiculous idea was this? It gets even better when it turns out that it's not the end of the world after all and the whole thing was just a big scam! Or as the brother puts it, it's a "jive caper" that's "as phony as they come". The part where they try to kill the bats by smearing their own blood all over an electrified cage is hilarious and awesome at the same time, but there's really not enough gore and the hottie never gets naked, so even with killer bats and the government faking the end of the world this turns out to be a pretty lame movie.
