The Exterminator

(1980)

In the 1970s it was trendy for a while to be a vigilante because there was lots of crime back then and most nights there wasn't anything good on TV. They made a whole bunch of vigilante flicks, and the best ones were always about a chick who gets raped so she dresses all sexy and goes around cutting dudes' peckers off. The vigilante in this movie is a guy, but it's still a pretty good one because he goes completely apeshit and seriously fucks some people up. He ties down these guys so they get eaten alive by rats, drops this mob boss who's like the Godfather of beef or something into a meat grinder (that's ironic and shit- one clue that you're watching a good movie), wastes a Doberman with an electric knife, burns a dude alive, and shoots some guy in the crotch with bullets full of mercury (poisoning bullets seems kind of gratuitous, but I'm not gonna argue with this cat). The bad guys do stuff like burning a chick's tits up with a soldering iron, stabbing some guy in the spine, and robbing a little old lady then kicking her in the stomach. They all get theirs though, so this might be a good one to watch with your kids so they'll be "scared straight". A good parent knows how to combine entertainment with learning and whatnot.
