How the World Will End:
What Do the Scriptures Say?

(2003)

This is from some TV show where people can call in and have these two dudes answer their Bible questions. Can you imagine the type of person who sits around the house all day thinking up Bible questions and then calls a television program about it? Sad. Anyway, the main dude is this guy Mike Scott- he does most of the talking and seems to know a lot about the Bible. (Admittedly, that's like knowing a lot about Batman, but I'm not gonna knock him- at least he knows something.) The other one is his sidekick, who looks like Jimmy Olsen; I think his name was "Danny Bananas", and if it wasn't, it should be. He hardly says anything, and when he does it's obvious that he is just absolutely baked. Well, either that or really stupid. Anyway, you know how Christians are always going on & on about how it's the "end times" and shit? Well, the main guy on this show basically says that they're all idiots, that there's no way to know when the world will end, and to just forget about it. Well, more or less. He does say that you should start believing in Jesus before it happens, but they all say that. Danny Bananas, meanwhile, just sits there grinning like an idiot, has a bit of a paranoid freakout when the Internet is mentioned (I told you he was stoned), and then completely fumbles the ball when the main guy actually asks him something about the Bible. Damn, even Jimmy Olsen wasn't this useless. As to how the world is going to end (which is what I thought this was supposed to be about in the first place), they kind of forget to explain that, although I got the impression that Jesus was just going to show up one day and blow it up. Jesus can be pretty ruthless sometimes. Why do Christians like him so much again?

Mike Scott & Danny Bananas.
