Killdozer

(1974)

This was made for TV back before there was even cable, so right away you know there won't be any naked chicks or people getting gutted alive in it, but it was still kinda cool. These dudes are on this abandoned island doing construction work when they find this meteor. Everyone knows meteors bring things to life or have monsters in them, but these are tough construction guys so they just keep running into it with a bulldozer 'til it zaps the 'dozer and kills one guy. The boss doesn't think this is too weird, so he just has everybody else keep working.

Too bad for them that the bulldozer is alive now and it starts killing everybody. One guy tries to fight it with another big machine, but that doesn't work, so finally they set up this trap that electrocutes the bulldozer when it comes after them. Frankly it's a pretty weak ending- they could've at least blown the damn thing up or something. This doesn't sound like it would be a very popular movie, but there's a band named after it, there's a comic book of it, and it was a short story before they made the movie, which means Killdozer has pretty much conquered all media.
