The mayor wants to ban rock & roll and jazz music,* so this one kid and his cute, bucktoothed girlfriend decide to have a jazz festival and stick it to The Man right where it hurts. Or something. They made a lot of movies like this in the 1950s and '60s because, you know, "the kids" and shit, but this one actually has some funny parts, even though 99% of it is just people playing music so it's really more like a 1962 version of Friday Night Videos than a real movie. The most famous people who show up are the guy who did the song "Runaway" (I like this cat- he always looks like he just got through kicking the shit out of somebody), and the dude who did "The Twist" and since it was super popular every song he did after that was "The (Something) Twist". The kids don't get either of them for their festival though- they end up with a bunch of lame jazz bands that nobody ever heard of.** It doesn't matter though, because the festival is like a huge success, the mayor gives up, everyone shakes their ass, and it all ends with George Bush Jr. wailing on that dirty saxophone. Take that, whitey.

*I'm guessing he's more into rap, considering the pimp-ass Run DMC chain he's sporting in one part. You better recognize.
