(1929)
College comedies fucking rule- they usually have too many fart jokes, but they make up for it by having lots of fucked-up pranks you can pull on your neighbors and tons of awesome college-age girls showing their tits (sometimes the actresses playing the college girls are actually like 30 and shit, but hey, tits are tits). All these dudes are returning to college after summer vacation or whatever. The two main dudes are supposed to be best friends or something, but they end up going after the same chick even after like twenty different guys show up at the exact same time to ask her out. The two main dudes have a caterpillar race (don't ask) to see who gets to take her to this dance, but one of the dudes cheats so they end up pulling all kinds of other crap on each other: like the first guy steals the other guy's pants before the dance, the second guy sneaks off with the chick and porks her in her car, shit like that. In the end there's a "the big game" and the two dudes almost fuck it up because they're pissed at each other, but then they find out the chick is engaged to like guy #3 and really is just a total fucking whore so they make up and win the game. This is a pretty old movie, and when it was made I think booze was illegal because women just got the vote or something,* so I kinda figured it would be a little weak and I took that into consideration or whatever, but it was still ten times shittier than it needed to be and if this is how college comedies got invented it's a lucky thing people didn't give up on the idea because then we wouldn't have awesome flicks like King Frat and Dead Man on Campus today. I read one time that like half of all movies made before 1950 are lost forever, and it's too bad this isn't one of them. *The bitches voted to make it legal again after all the fat and ugly ones stopped getting laid.
