I've been waiting for the mirror people to make their move, and in this flick they finally do. In case you have no idea what I'm talking about, the mirror people are the duplicates of us that live on the other side of the mirror. See, the Chinese believe that one day they'll escape and take over the world, with the help of "all the creatures that live in the water". (Thanks a lot, Flipper, you backstabbing fuck.) At first I thought this movie was gonna be a complete joke (one of the first lines is "It's not uncommon, but it's pretty rare." What?) but once it gets rolling it's fairly badass: imagine if the aliens in Invasion of the Body Snatchers came strolling out of your bathroom instead of popping out of cocoons and you'll have a pretty good idea how it plays out. It's more creepy than gory, but there is a pretty amazing slow-mo car crash, and in one part the hottest chick in the movie takes an entire fist and most of a forearm into her mouth before it kills her. I'd sure like to meet the girl who could do that.

In the end the mirror people win, but don't let it get you down. They'll eventually be defeated by the mirror-seen-in-a-mirror people.
