A Colbert Christmas
The Greatest Gift of All!

(2008)

Back in the 1970s and 1980s they used to make special Christmas episodes and episodic Christmas specials all the time, even though hardly any of them were ever any good. I think there was a Diff'rent Strokes one where we saw Kimberly's tits, but that's about it. I guess Colbert Report is trying to make fun of those types of specials with this program, but unfortunately he forgot to make it not a boring piece of crap. I find this very hard to understand- why is it he can be funny five nights a week on his regular program, but he can't pull it off for one Xmas special? I'd say "nice try" but that would be a lie because he doesn't try at all. Seriously, Willie Nelson sings about pot? Is it even possible to measure time in small enough increments to explain how long it took to come up with that? The only good parts are: the Toby Keith song; Feist dressed as an angel singing a joke version of "Angels We have Heard on High" that was dumb but still made me want to come to Bethlehem and see, not to mention all over her face;* and Santa fighting a bear.

By the way, Colbert, all the "jokes" about over-pimping the DVD of your crappy Christmas Special stop being jokes - and therefore stop being funny - when there really is a DVD of your crappy Christmas Special. I'm gonna give you a pass this time because you're usually awesome, but next time I better see a vast improvement or it's into the "fad" locker with you. I'm sure we can find some room right between the stupid fucking Blue Man Group and those worthless Pabst-swiller magnets Vampire Weekend.

*Don't think Feist is hot? You're gay.
