"The Great Heep" is the perfect name for this cartoon special. I assume they cobbled it together out of rejected Droids episodes (seriously, think about that for a minute), and it's basically about the droids helping some fag do some shit for some other idiots. What? You want me to be more specific? Fine. C-3PO and his new master get captured by a giant robot that's destroying a bunch of farmland, so they have to figure out how to escape and save all the farms. That's right, the Star Wars franchise has been reduced to recycling old Lassie plots. Meanwhile, R2-D2 kicks it poolside with his robot girlfriend, who's pink and has feet that look like stylized high heels. You think I'm shitting you? Fine, track down a copy and see for yourself. As bad as this is it is slightly better than the actual Droids series, but that's like saying falling off a cliff is slightly better than falling off a building because the view is nicer. Really, considering how popular Star Wars is you'd think someone would take the time to make a decent cartoon out of it, but so far the only good ones they've ever done were those three-minute Cartoon Network deals that were really just ads for one of the movies. Pretty sad, Star Wars. Pretty. Fucking. Sad.
