(2002)
Okay, so some cat who belongs to the Rutger Hauer school of looking like people is convinced that this broad dicked him over back in the 1800s or thereabouts, and furthermore he's convinced that they've both been reincarnated and that he owes it to himself to take the bitch out. He doesn't do a very good job though, gets caught, and ends up in the loony bin, giving him a chance to blather endlessly to some psychiatrist chick because apparently the world still isn't over Silence of the Lambs. Meanwhile, this annoying detective is on the case, and when I say "annoying" I'm not just padding this review with gratuitous, superfluous, unnecessary adjectives. The worst is the endless bit where he tries to be witty (or something) by ordering chicken livers and key lime pie. It's pretty obvious why he went into police work instead of stand-up comedy: because he's an asshole. That aside, at first it looks like the crazy guy thinks that anyone & everyone who even slightly irritates him somehow fucked him over in a previous life, and was on a Shirley MacLaine-flavored kill-crazy rampage long before he came after the main chick ("That's for the invasion of Crete!"). But the murders don't stop after he's locked up, so the detective wastes no time trying to get into the main chick's pants, despite the fact that she's pretty damn ugly. Oh, and he does do a little detective work too, even though the real killer's identity is so fucking obvious that he might as well have "KILLER" stenciled on the back of his wheelchair. Oops, did I just ruin it for you?
