Well what do you know, it's the Incredible Hulk cartoon from 1982. I think they made as many as four episodes of this show, and then they just showed them over and over and over and over and over and over and over until kids hated every miserable second of each one so fucking much that I'm convinced they're the main reason that, even decades later, no one who was alive at the time has any interest whatsoever in seeing a goddamned Incredible Hulk movie.

It probably wouldn't have been so bad if this cartoon wasn't so boring and stupid. It's full of dumb shit like Bruce Banner's shirt magically growing back when he stops being the Hulk, or the plot of this episode, where everyone finds out that Bruce Banner is the Hulk but then all their memories get erased. How fucking convenient. And why don't any other superheroes ever show up? The best thing about the Hulk is when he throws down with other superheroes, but that never happened on this program. There was a Spider-Man cartoon on at about the same time and every superhero on the planet popped in for a visit over there, but who does the Hulk get stuck with? A couple of idiot teenagers and a middle-aged Mexican guy who runs some stupid fucking restaurant. What the hell was the logic behind that? Were they hoping to make a spin-off that was like a Mexican version of Alice, occasionally guest-starring the Hulk? "Kiss my grits!" "HULK SMASH STUPID GRITS!!!" I've seen Marvel do dumber shit.
