When I think "Crystal Bernard" and "private dick" this isn't what generally comes to mind, but here she is in an old-timey detective movie, and as the detective even. She gets hired by some cat named "P.L." (Pot Luck? Pussy Lover? Purloined Letter?) to stop this con man from scamming his wife and poking his daughter, but that night P.L. gets hung out to die so now she has to solve his murder too. The killer whacks a couple more chumps (plus a dog) before Crystal finally solves the case, but frankly it's all pretty weak. Not only does C.B. not get naked, but she even wears long pants in a few scenes which is completely unacceptable since the best thing about her acting is her legs. The only good part is when this cop tells her off:

Cop: "If you know anything, find anything - anything - I wanna know about it; not after your nails are dry or the cat's been fed- immediately!"

Ha ha! Sorry Crys, but it's funny.
