I know exactly what you're thinking: "There's a legend of the candy cane?" Well, according to this cartoon the red stripes are actually the "sadness of Jesus" or some crazy bullshit. Okay, I never heard that one before so I looked it up and sure enough: it's pussified here, but Christians really do think that the red in a candy cane is Jesus blood. Ugh- I'll never eat a candy cane again. That disgusting story only takes a couple of minutes to tell though, so the rest of the DVD is padded out with some Little House on the Prairie types rescuing this chick from a hole (coincidentally, this was the plot of the vast majority of Little House on the Prairie episodes) and a horse, a mountain goat, a dog, and an owl (natural allies in the wild) engaging in antics, like being chased by a wolf and trying to help the goat get over his fear of heights. There is like a surprising amount of synergy when the end features the goat overcoming his fear of heights and jumping into the hole to save the chick from the wolf (the only way they could've tied it all together any more neatly is if someone pulled her out of the hole with a giant candy cane afterwards), but that doesn't make this any less awful. And really, Christians, why does everything always have to be soaked in blood before you'll put it in your mouths? What the hell is wrong with you people?
