Return to the Blue Lagoon

(1991)

Well, the two feebs from the first Blue Lagoon are history (and good riddance), but their baby survives and gets picked up by a ship. Unfortunately, everybody on this particular ship has the swine flu (actually it's some old-time disease, but I'm fishing for some additional Google hits here so bear with me), so they dump the little rugrat right back into a lifeboat, along with another baby, some broad, and a grumpy guy who the broad immediately kills because frankly he's kind of a dick. After a few days the lifeboat washes up on a deserted island, and it's looking pretty grim until they stumble onto a ready-made shack that has everything but fucking high-speed internet service. Seriously, where the hell... Wait a minute, is this supposed to be the same island??? That's ridiculous- like somebody wouldn't have bought it by now and turned it into a robot theme park guest-starring the Harlem Globetrotters. Eventually one of the babies becomes the chick from Resident Evil and shows us her tits, but other than that the only good part is when some sailors show up and one of them decides that he's up for some rape, with a side order of rape: before he can get down to business, he gets eaten by a shark! Ha ha! That's great, and way more effective than pepper spray. They should consider installing mandatory sharks in all athletic-oriented student housing, seriously.
