Holy shit, this Christmas cartoon special actually has some funny parts in it. This guy is tired of Christmas and all the bullshit it entails, and when he finds out that his family won't be flying in for Xmas dinner (dad's stuck in Florida on a deathwatch, his brother is in Minneapolis partying with some coked-up rock whores) he gets even more depressed until Santa Claus shows up and teaches him the true meaning of blah blah blah. It's the same old story, but along the way it bashes local news and their wretched Christmas fluff pieces, the goddamned Salvation Army, It's a Wonderful Life being on every fucking channel (thank god those days are over), and even Christmas cartoon specials ("Frankenstein Saves Christmas"). Plus they work in a really gross psoriasis joke. I don't want to give the impression that this isn't, in it's own way, cheap crap (most of the action consists of the main guy walking from left to right across the screen), but at least it wasn't total puke bait from start to finish. As far as Christmas specials go, that puts it in something like the top 3%.
