Can someone please explain to me what the hell "up the academy" means? It's not a sentence, it's not a phrase, and it's not any fucking slang that I've ever heard. Is it supposed to be like "up the ass" or something? Or maybe it's redneck-speak, like when some yokel says "I'm goin' up the store to git some Criterion Collection DVDs." Honestly, it's a complete mystery. That aside, this flick goes down at a military academy so it should've been reasonably funny, because people at military academies are generally pretty uptight and it's astoundingly easy to fuck with them. For example, watch how pissed off they get if you consistently replace the word "sir" with "chuckles". Well, there are one or two funny parts ("Stop! Deserter! Kill that coward!"), but mostly it's just boring and dumb, like a people falling down the stairs while farting movie that left out the stairs and the farting. (Actually they didn't entirely leave out the farting, because what shitty, lazy, unfunny comedy is complete without farting?) And just to drive home how fucking dull this flick is, it ends with a soccer game. The one cat's cute girlfriend dressed as I Cream of Jeannie was impressively hot, but other than that this movie isn't worth the little silver disk that's gonna end up in a landfill that it's printed on. Yeah, yeah, I know, I could think green and recycle it by using it as a coaster or something, but what do I care if we run out of landfills? I don't have any kids.
