Welcome to the most overrated zombie movie ever made that isn't called "Day of the Dead". Hell, if you ask me this barely even qualifies as a zombie movie. It's really more of a road trip movie, with a few zombies thrown in for color. The jokes are too damn obvious and think they're way funnier than they actually are (Ha ha! He just wants a Twinkie! Fucking weak.); the whole "rules" angle is straight out of that book The Zombie Survival Guide; having credits and titles and shit appear in the scene so the people in the movie can smash through them or knock them over is already beyond tiresome; and taking an extended break from the story to deep-throat Bill Murray's cock for several minutes was an unbelievably bad idea. Oh, and the payoff to the whole Bill Murray bit is so fucking stupid and obvious that the only reason "It's as obvious as the payoff to the Bill Murray scene in Zombieland " isn't already a common saying is because frankly it's kind of a mouthful. Then there's the ending. Why does that amusement park still have electricity? Who's operating those rides if both of the girls are riding them? How could they possibly forget that all the light and noise would attract a bunch of zombies? Did anyone use their brain at all when they came up with this? There are some things in this flick that work, like when the two main guys are talking about the best zombie kill they ever saw, but naturally they have to ruin it by bringing it up again and again and having the words "Zombie Kill of the Week" pop up on the screen in huge gold letters. I'm not fucking retarded, okay? You don't have to duct tape how goddamned clever you are to a sledgehammer and beat me over the fucking head with it. I wouldn't go so far as to say that this a movie made for condescending tourists who hate exactly this kind of movie (it's not Scream), but it's definitely scalping tickets outside the same ballpark. Fuck you, Zombieland. You can suck my huge.
